About
SaBill Farms is owned and operated by Bill and Sara Foster. The farm consists of approximately 17 acres located just outside the town of Westminster in the foothills of Upstate South Carolina.
The Farm
SaBill Farms was started in 2013 with a Craigslist purchased chicken coop and 3 Buff Orpington hens. Bill and Sara enjoyed the chickens so much they decided to make a business out of it. Additional hens were purchased and the flock currently consists of approximately 100 chickens, 15 ducks, and 2 geese. Current chicken breeds include Rhode Island Reds, Americanas, White Leghorns, and Plymouth Barred Rocks; Brown African Geese; and Pekin and Khaki Campbell ducks. The birds free-range from dawn until dusk on 1 acre of fenced in pasture. At night, they are cooped in one of 3 chicken coops to protect them from predators.
